Brightlight Pictures Inc.

Brightlight Pictures develops, finances and produces independent feature films and television projects for the domestic and international marketplace. Company principals and producers, Stephen Hegyes and Shawn Williamson, have produced over 80 productions in the last 12 years and over 30 productions since the launch of the company in 2001, including White Noise, starring Michael Keaton, which has grossed more than $100 million since opening in January 2005.

Brightlight also produced its sequel, White Noise 2: The Light, starring Nathan Fillion and Katee Sackhoff with Gold Circle Films; Dungeon Siege, starring Jason Statham; 88 Minutes, starring Al Pacino and Wicker Man, starring Nicolas Cage, both for Nu Image/Millennium Films and Emmett Furla Films; Slither, with Gold Circle Films and Universal; American Venus, directed by Bruce Sweeney and starring Rebecca De Mornay; They Wait, a psychological thriller starring Sin City's Jaime King; and The Thaw, an eco thriller starring Val Kilmer, co-produced with Anagram Pictures.

Brightlight also produced the feature film Possession, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar for the Yari Film Group; Passengers, starring Anne Hathaway for Mandate Pictures and the feature film Far Cry, based on the video game of the same name.

Brightlight produced the TV series Saved for TNT with Fox 21; About a Girl for MTV's The N Network and Global Television; and The Guard with David James Elliott, with Halifax Films and Global Television, distributed by Lionsgate. Season one of The Guard became the highest rated Canadian dramatic series in the spring of 2008. Brightlight recently launched the CTV/Space Channel series Stormworld, an Australian/Canadian co-production shot in Perth, Singapore and Vancouver.

Brightlight's UK/Canada feature co-production Fifty Dead Men Walking starring Ben Kingsley, Jim Sturgess and Kevin Zegers, had its world premiere as a Gala Presentation at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2008, and was released theatrically in the summer of 2009. Brightlight also recently produced Frankie & Alice, starring Halle Berry and Stellan Skarsgard. Upcoming Brightlight releases include Gunless, a comedy western co-produced with Niv Fichman's Rhombus Media and distributed by Alliance films, starring Paul Gross, Sienna Guillory and Graham Greene.

Among a diverse slate of film and television projects in development, Brightlight is currently in pre-production on The Saint, with Insomnia Media and Sony Pictures Television.
