Cynthia Chapman

Vice President, Physical Production - Brightlight Pictures Inc.

Cynthia, an award-winning producer, brings two decades of high-level production experience to her role as Vice President, Physical Production at Brightlight Pictures. She has produced feature films (Almost Heaven, Unnatural and Accidental, Pink Ludoos), Television Drama and Comedy Series (The Guard, About a Girl, Alienated), Documentary Films (Guinea Pig Club, Chasing the Tango High) and multi-camera Performance Art Specials (Swinging Nutcracker, World Christmas).

After graduating from the Television Production Program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Cynthia Chapman blazed a trail through many facets of the film and television industry. As well as her producing experience she has filled a variety of production roles including line producer, unit manager, production coordinator, script supervisor and talent coordinator. Recently Chapman line produced the feature films Gunless and They Wait as well as the CBC comedy pilot Memory Lanes.

Other selected credits include producing the feature films Severed, Johnny Tootall, Marker and Cable Beach, Line Producer on the documentaries Comedic Genius, Love & Duty, and Leo's Journey, production co-ordination of 44 episodes of The Outer Limits (Seasons 3 & 4), as well as Prince of Mirrors-The Rich Donato Story (Showtime), Five Desperate Hours (NBC), the television movie Halfback of Notre Dame (Showtime) and the lifestyle series Dawn Wells Reel Adventures.
